Black widows & brown recluse

Spider Controlbefore you find one the hard way.

Two spiders in California warrant real caution: the black widow and the brown recluse. Both prefer dark, hidden places — which is usually somewhere in your home.

Black widows are very common throughout California and can cause potentially serious injury with their bite. Adult females are easily identified by their shiny black body and the red hourglass on the belly. Like the brown recluse, they thrive in dark, hidden areas — corners, less-used cabinets, underneath furniture, garage cabinets and similar spots.

The brown recluse is among the most common poisonous and dangerous spiders in California. As the name suggests it lives in dark, isolated areas and is rarely seen. In California people frequently relate stories of bites or of a physician diagnosing a brown recluse bite. A bite can be dangerous, and in some cases deadly.

We conduct a full inspection and eliminate these spiders from both inside and outside your home — because the ones in the crawlspace and under the deck are how they keep coming back.
